Overview

Located in the popular Alto Mar private apartments complex, this Holiday Home overlooks the beautiful sandy beach of Son Bou and the nature reserve. The complex is small and spacious. The shops, restaurants, bars and Club San Jaime are 10 minutes walk down the hill, and the 2km white sand, and turquoise blue sea of Son Bou beach are a further 5 minutes walk.

This prestige complex is laid out within beautiful, well kept gardens and has both adult's and children's pools exclusive to residents. The Alto Mar complex is a pretty collection of privately owned apartments many of which will be empty as they are only let very casually by their owners. The small complex sits as the last buildings before the countryside behind Son Bou making it much quieter than apartments lower down in the resort.

The Apartment has a south facing terrace and is well furnished and equipped. 1 master bedroom with double bed, fitted wardrobes and access through French doors to terrace with sea views. 1 bedroom with twin beds and fitted wardrobes. The 25 mtr sq terrace, has dining table & chairs, and cushioned sun loungers. Also large awning as it is facing due south and has the sun all day. Wonderful views towards the sun setting over Mallorca only 30 miles away.

Surrounding the apartments are well maintained gardens with Palm trees, colourful shrubs and flowers ( see photos below)

San Valentin Hotel and its Spar shop with bakery for fresh bread are close by.

In Son Bou, there are plenty of bars/restaurants, boutiques, and souvenir shops, as well as supermarkets and bakeries. Club San Jaime is open to all and offers additional pools, a water-slide, wooden maize and a couple of bar & restaurants allowing parents to relax while children play. There is also evening entertainment. at this venue.

Tennis courts available for hire at the San Valentin Hotel which is a 5-10 min walk away and Son Bou Gardens in the resort centre.There is a new 10 pin bowling club in the resort centre.

Night life at Son Bou is varied with restaurants, clubs, shops and hotels. Alterantively you can venture into Mahon or Es Castell with its lively harbour and a wide range of restaurants and nightlife. As the island of Menorca is only small there are many places of interest within easy reach. From one end of the island to the other is under an hours drive and is well worth the drive. A car is advisable.

There is a established footpath which takes you to the next resort of Santa Tomas through the nature reserve and along the cliffs, a very nice walk highly recommended.

Nearest towns are Alaior and Es Mercadal, both only 10 minutes away, and having a good selection of bars and restaurants. Alaior is a cultural and university town with pretty old centre for great coffees and shopping strolls. Es Mercadal is known for its food with several very good restaurants at all price ranges.

Alto Mar Complex

Alto Mar is set in terraced, landscaped mediterreanen gardens with palm trees and other exotic flowers. The complex is not over looked offering spectacular views left and right of the sea and coastline.
