In Son Bou, there are plenty of bars/restaurants, boutiques, and souvenir shops, as well as supermarkets and bakeries. Club San Jaime is open to all and offers additional pools, a water-slide, and a couple of bar & restaurants allowing parents to relax while children play. There is also evening entertainment at this venue.
Night life at Son Bou is varied with restaurants, clubs, shops and hotel entertainments. Alternatively you can venture into Mahon or Es Castell with their lively charming harbours and a wider range of restaurants and nightlife offerings. As the island of Menorca is only small there are many places of interest within easy reach. From one end of the island to the other is under an hours drive with attractive landscapes and towns to explore.
There is a established footpath which takes you to the next resort of Santa Tomas through the nature reserve and along the coast, a very nice walk highly recommended. Additionally there are daramatic coastal views to be enjoyed with an easy pathway to the headland of Ses Peynes that dominates the eastern end of Son Bou.
Nearest towns are Alaior and Es Mercadal, both only 10 minutes away, and having a good selection of bars and restaurants. Alaior is a cultural and university town with pretty old centre for great coffees and shopping strolls. Es Mercadal is known for its food with several very good restaurants at all price ranges.
