Overview

Located in a preservation area this beautiful old Menorcan Farmhouse has been thoughtfully restored using original materials to provide charming accommodation of a high standard. Located in the countryside of Torre Soli Nou away from crowds yet close to the sea and beach. The house is set in it's own grounds surrounded by open coutryside and woodlands. A place where you can welcome the sun and colours of springtime.

Details

Entry to the house is through the old original Menorcan door into a large airy dining room. The living room is adjacent to the dining room with an original feature corner fireplace. Entertainment is provided by satellite television with UK free to view channels. Under the original stone stairs there is a lovely old water well (safely protected). The ground level has a fully equipped kitchen in keeping with the style of a farmhouse but fitted with modern appliances including dishwasher.

There is an original stone staircase that leads from the dining area to the first floor and two large interconnecting bedrooms which make them ideal for a family. The first bedroom is large with twin beds and an ensuite bathroom with shower. It has a small balcony that looks out over the pool terrace , garden and surrounding countryside,woods and hills. The master bedroom has a lovely private roof terrace with views over the open countryside and seating with total privacy - ideal for wonderfull breakfasts or a dreamy reading spot. Both bedrooms have sympathetic antique pine wardrobes and drawers and windows overlooking the grounds and sea views on the horizon.

On the ground floor there an additional two bedrooms. Another master double bedroom with en-suite shower room and a twin bedroom with french windows looks out onto a terrace. The master bedroom has an adjacent room with table, chairs and sofabed and opens to the garden- ideal for a young child/baby near to the parents or as an extended dressing area.

All bathrooms have modern marble, ceramic tiles and fittings while preserving the original charm of their spaces.

There are extensive outside areas, to find you own idylic reading spot in or take a siesta under the trees. There is extensive stone terracing for outside dining and ample sun loungers around the pool.

The Farmhouse is surrounded by beautiful relaxing countryside to explore on foot. The local beach at Son Bou is 20 minutes wallk away. You can either drive to the main beach at Son Bou ( 5min.) or walk to a more remote section along a country lane.

The historical coastal pathway surrounding the whole island of Menorca (Cami d'es Cavalls) is few minutes walk from the house and will lead you to virgin beaches across wonderful countryside areas.

The local town of Alaior is just 10 minutes drive away with it's larger supermarkets for groceries.
